A Meeting of Brampton Parish Council was held on Wednesday 19 Sept 2007

at 7.30pm in Brampton Memorial Centre, Thrapston Road, Brampton

Welcomed members back after summer recess. There had been a couple of unfortunate incidents over summer break involving youth however, pleased to report that they had been caught and had paid for damage to roof vents.

·         Thanked Parish Council for £500

·         Interest has been building up over summer and new faces on board

·         Looking at what needs doing not what funding can be spent on

·         Committee meeting next Tuesday

·         EC commented on help for Brampton in Bloom if group could come up with suggestions and possibly photos.  Could possibly litter pick.  EC to discuss at meeting

·         MS thanked Ramsey for contribution to meeting

·         PD reported support growing substantially, last count over 1500, more forms to come.  Expecting over 2000. 

·         Vehicle count recently calculated 500+/day on average. 

·         Petition being presented to CCC 30th October 07. 

·         Suggest Brampton PC present as nearest village. 

·         PD also looking at alternatives – hoping for short term reprieve whilst new indoor St Neots plant built – mid 2009.

·         Looking at calculating carbon footprint for extra distance if have to travel to St Neots

·         MS thanked JB for organising distribution quickly, JB reported ad worked well in BM and schedule was in place for next issue

·         MF raised point that not Clerks duty to deal with matter and should not have been left for them to do

·         MS reported will now have network of distributors with Councillors in reserve
