Planning 2009

Brampton Parish Council Planning Committee continue to examine and monitor new planning applications on your behalf.

The Parish Council are consulted on all applications for Brampton and responds to Huntingdonshire District Council or Cambridgeshire County Council as the 'Planning Authorities'.

The Parish Council either recommends 'Approval' or 'Refusal' taking many factors into account. They may also be minded to suggest planning conditions in some cases.

If, as a neighbour, you are consulted and wish to respond to the District or County, please copy your comments to the Parish Council in order they may include your comments in their response to the Planning Authority.

FELTWELL SITE, THRAPSTON ROAD

Despite objections from both the Parish Council and local residents, the high density development on the Feltwells site was agreed to by HDCs Development Control Panel. In view of this the Parish Council is now working with local residents in reviewing all major developments in the village. If you are a local architect, developer or are involved in local authority planning we would like to hear from you to broaden our knowledge on the finer points of planning strategy and government guidelines. Please contact the Parish Council Chairman in the first instance, contact details are on the members page.
