Skate Park briefing update - 22 May 20

After a review and the attached brief, HDC is not planning to re-open it's own skate parks until the national guidance changes regarding play grounds/areas.

The virus is know to last 3-4 days on a steel/metal surface and given the nature of use this would be in conflict with 2 meter social distancing and not congregating with members from other households.

For now the HDC position is they remain closed pending any updates on government guidance on play areas.

COVID-19: testing for council workers

Last week Coronavirus testing was extended to include council workers, so that if you have symptoms of the virus you can now be tested along with other essential workers. This also includes members of your household who may be showing symptoms. If you need to book a test you can book online at www.self-referral.test-for-coronavirus.service.gov.uk. And your employers can also refer you for testing by contacting portalservicedesk@dhsc.gov.uk. You will have the option of booking an appointment slot at one of our drive through sites or can ask to receive a home testing kit if you cannot travel.
