A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire: major improvements

We are currently carrying out finishing works for which we need to close lanes or carriageways on the A1, A14 and some local roads at times, usually overnight between 9pm and 6am, unless otherwise stated. A clearly signed diversion route will always be in place for closures.

There are no planned closures for w/c 21 March in relation to the A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon improvement scheme.

Please do be aware there will be temporary traffic lights in operation on Saturday 26th between 8am to 5pm on B1514 Brampton Road between Scholars Avenue and Edison Bell Way to facilitate a lane closure.

A1 Wyboston to Buckden resurfacing

A1 Wyboston to Buckden resurfacing

There are plans to carry out essential resurfacing work on the A1 northbound between Wyboston and Buckden. Once complete, drivers will benefit from a smoother and better-defined road surface.

Plans to complete this work over 1 night will commence on Monday 28 March. Works will be between 8pm and 6am, weather conditions permitting.

SATURDAY 26TH FEBRUARY ROAD CLOSURE UPDATE

The closure of #B1514 Brampton Road on Saturday 26 has been CANCELLED.

This has been replaced with a closure of the Huntingdon train station West car park (the car park on Brampton Road that leads to Platform 3) from Saturday 26 12:01am to Sunday 27 5pm.

If you're travelling to Huntingdon station this weekend, please allow additional time to get to the East car park, accessed via the A1307.
