Is there any Village Community interest in saving The Dragoon?

The Dragoon Pub/Restaurant is slowly falling into disrepair with little apparent interest from the current owners. To prevent that from happening, one option discussed at at the recent Parish Council meeting was to see if there is any interest from the community in forming a group to either take on the leasehold or purchase the property with the intent of using it as a community asset (ie a Public House).

It was further agreed that the Parish Council would assist any such group in their application(s) for any grants that may be available to support such a venture. A parallel option would be for the Parish Council to seek (on the group's behalf) support from the Huntingdonshire branch of CAMRA - Campaign for Real Ale.
