Meeting Notes from Flood Group Chairs Meeting

Meeting Notes from Flood Group Chairs Meeting

Dear all,

Thank you very much to all those who attended the first Flood Group chairs meeting last week. Please find attached a copy of the notes which are intended to be high level in nature but still capture the main discussion points. For those who attended the meeting and agreed for their email addresses to be shared, I have made your email addresses visible to all. For those who didn't attend the meeting and therefore haven't agreed for their email addresses to be shared more widely, I have kept you bcc'd into the email. If you are happy to share, please let me know and I can edit this.

While I am emailing, we are once again preparing for our quarterly Flood and Water Newsletter and would love to feature contributions from across the flood risk community. If you have any recent projects, key developments, or topics you would like to share, we would greatly appreciate your input. We could also look to do a 'spotlight' feature on a group for each edition. If you would like to contribute, please contact Jess Gething via floodandwater@cambridgeshire.gov.uk by the end of this week (Friday 4 April).

During the meeting last week, the role of 'Communities Prepared' was briefly mentioned and I've included a link to their website in the meeting notes. I do however want to draw your attention specifically to the free training courses they are running soon which many of you may find useful:
